cedar is a five-piece alternative rock band hailing from Gibraltar, made up of Patrick Murphy (vocals), Harry Meenagh (lead guitar), Tom Meenagh (rhythm/lead guitar), Daniel Ghio (bass), and Daryl Pallas (drums). Formed in 2022, the band emerged from a desire to break away from the local tribute and cover band scene, instead focusing on original music. Their sound is a dynamic fusion of alternative rock, grunge, shoegaze, and post-punk, drawing inspiration from the vibrant music scenes of Brighton, London, and Manchester.

cedar released their debut EP Past Lives in May 2025 following up with their latest single ‘100%’ in October 2025. 



Known for their evolving sound and energetic live performances, they’ve been actively touring both locally and in the UK, carving out a distinct identity in the indie and post-punk revival scene.

cedar are set to release next single ‘If I Knew’ on the 13th of March.
